Confessions of an Insomniac!!!

This post is brought to you by insomnia, anything written in this blog may or may not be true. I'm going on my 3rd night of sleeplessness and decided to post about who knows what.

Anyways...first I must confess I am addicted to the Olympics. I will be so sad when they are gone. It's funny I don't even think twice about them for 4 years and then for a few weeks they consume my life.
I get so nervous for the olympians too. I make myself crazy. Sometimes I will cheat and see who wins which medal, before they show it on t.v. so I can relax a little. Those live events about put me over the edge. Does this happen to anyone else?

2nd Confession...my favorite color is orange, it always has been and always will be. When I was younger and would tell people this, they would make fun of me or say ORANGE??? why???
Well, it's true, I love orange!
I went and got a pedicure this past week and chose orange for my toenails. I have gotten so many comments on them, I didn't realize so many different people had so many opinions about the colors people paint their toenails.
My two favorite comments were first by my gynecologist(ya you read that right), so you know how those visits go and where the Dr is and how he is all up in your business. Well my feet are right next to his face in freaking stirrups and he says, WOW!!! nice toenails, what do they call that color? lol. I remained quiet... I didn't know what to say. DID he really just try to make conversation about my toes? lol. AWKWARD!!!!!
The second comment I was at the grocery store and some random guy comes up to me and says WHOA!!!! No one will run over those toes!!! lol.

3rd and most likely last confession...I am NOT ready for school to start. I have really enjoyed having my kids at home this summer. They did great and we had a lot of fun although they are getting a little crazy this week.
The other day I was talking with Brayden about school and such. We got on the subject of football and him playing at some point in his life. I was explaining to him how some kids his age are A LOT bigger than he is, I said some fourth graders weigh like 85lbs, and he said "Ya, but do they have muscles like these????" and he lifted his sleeve and flexed his muscles. IT was really funny! So I'm going to miss them around the house all day.

Your toes are lovely! Want some Ambien? You may not remember anything the next morning but you'll be well rested!

LOL on Jacob's comment! Your toes are very cool, only you could pull them off! Oh and I get all into the olympics too! We have been staying up way too late watching them! Good luck getting a good night's sleep soon!

i think i counted about 22 hours of olympics on my dvr. i love it, too. Let's go to london in 2012 and watch them live! i love your toes, too. i don't know if i could have commented back to the dr either, i would probably have laughed and accidentally tooted in his face to add to the already awkward moment LOL!

First, I never knew that your favorite color was orange! That has always been mine. Second, I have been averaging 5 hours of sleep at night because the Olympics are a must and seminary is a reality. Third, let the boy play football! I just watched my 54lb-er tackle a 100 lb-er and the kid said, "Ouch, that little kid hits hard!"

Did you say you were going hunting in flip flops??? He he
I like them. I have wanted to get a pedicure all summer and haven't yet, so it looks like it may be too late, but if anyone knows me, they know I where flip flops all year long!!!!!! GO FLIPS FLOPS!
Oh, and Olympics??? I just got satelite for the first time in 2 years, and I forget so often that I actually have t.v. that I haven' watched hardly any of the olympics!!
