T.G.F.I (Thank goodness for Ipods)!!!

Alright, so those of you who know me especially my dentist know that I have a very sensitive gag reflex. Thanks to genetics. lol.
Sometimes it gets in the way of daily activities such as making dinner, wiping children's behinds, runny noses, even noises or smells can set it off.
Last Sunday, I thanked Jacob for preparing the roast for me. He said Ya I almost barfed, I think you're rubbing off on me. lol.
So, last week I wasn't feeling well and waited until I couldn't stand it any longer then went to the doctor. It was a Saturday, so it was a busy urgent care place, and was I prepared to have to wait awhile. Luckily, because of modern technology and the intelligence of the medical world you no longer have to wait in the waiting room but in the comfort of your own home. The nurse called a couple hours later and said they were ready for me.
As I approached the door to the doctor's office, I saw something that might terrify anyone with a sensitive gag reflex. There was a man sitting hunched over a garbage can. I thought oh crap I can't go in there, if he pukes I will puke. I was in too much misery to go home though. I took a deep breath and walked in, practically backwards so I wouldn't have to see the vomit, if it did come up. The noises that were coming out of this man were about more than I could handle. He was gagging, gurgling and coughing so hard, I lost it a few times and gagged, but tried to keep everything in my stomach. I checked in, sat down and tore through my purse to find my ipod. I put those earphones so fast, found the most obnoxious rap song I could find on there and turned the volume up as loud as I could. AHHH, finally my stomach at ease again. I was only in the waiting room for about 5 minutes. I got to my room and luckily I just had to have a short test done and some prescriptions written and I was out of there.
Thank goodness, because guess who got put in the room next to me, yep Mr. McVomit himself.
